Jim Morrison needs no introduction, and when there’s a café bearing his name, it naturally feels like a must-visit. That’s how I found myself at Jim Morrison Café in Kasol. Perched on a quaint hillock after a short hike, this hidden café seems to pay homage to the legendary singer. Its vibe is laid-back, with a distinct hippie touch that fits perfectly with Kasol’s free-spirited essence. The café features ground seating, low tables, and comfy mattresses, creating a cozy spot to unwind, listen to music, or even get some work done (I worked here briefly using my own internet). I tried the banana coconut shake and hummus pita. While the shake didn’t quite match my expectations, the hummus pita was a delight—I’m a hummus lover, after all. The music played during my visit wasn’t from Jim Morrison’s collection, but it still complemented the café’s relaxed atmosphere beautifully. However, for a café named after such an iconic figure, it felt like something was missing. It lacked the unmistakable Morrison vibe that one might expect, leaving it as a decent spot but not a standout experience for a fan. Still, it’s a good place to chill if you’re in Kasol.
