A Major Disappointment I recently visited Jas Kitchen after hearing a lot of buzz about the place, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. From the moment we entered, the visit turned into one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in terms of ambiance, service, and overall hygiene. To begin with, the ambiance was a complete letdown. The restaurant felt more like a poorly maintained roadside dhaba, yet even small dhabas often have better hospitality standards. The staff was completely unprofessional, no uniforms, no grooming, no etiquette. It felt like the waiters had no training in customer service or basic courtesy. The tables and chairs were sticky, and the entire place smelled musty and unhygienic. The washroom and handwash area were in a miserable state, which immediately raised red flags about the cleanliness of the kitchen as well. As for the tableware, food was served in steel plates with disposable glasses and spoons, not what you expect from a restaurant charging above-average prices. It felt like the entire setup was done without any thought to customer experience. We ordered Nalli Nihari, which was the biggest disappointment of the meal. It lacked flavor and was nearly inedible. We left it untouched after one bite. With no other option, we tried Chicken Korma, which was slightly better but still average at best, and certainly not worth the price tag. The upper section of the restaurant was closed. It’s also not wheelchair-accessible, so not ideal for families or elderly guests. On top of all this, no parking, causing further inconvenience. To add to the list, when it was time to pay, the staff insisted on cash payment, which felt strange and unprofessional. Only when I questioned it did they bring out a QR code, which made the entire situation feel suspicious and left a bad taste in our mouths, figuratively, this time. In summary, Jas Kitchen lacks professionalism, hygiene, ambiance, and basic hospitality. The food was below average, prices were unreasonably high for what was offered, and the service was downright poor. With so many better options available in the city, I would not recommend Jas Kitchen to anyone, especially families or those expecting a clean, enjoyable dining experience.
