I went to Inder D Dhaba with a group of friends recently after hearing mixed reviews, and I'd say the experience was quite average, deserving of a solid 3-star rating. While there are obviously some good things to mention, there are also some things where things need to improve to make the overall experience better. Ambience and Seating:. The dhaba itself has a nice old-world, roadside charm that a lot of people love. The seating is minimal but comfortable, and the open-air arrangement makes it look old-world, desi-style. But the hygiene of the place could have been improved. Tables were not cleaned well, and the floors were in an untidy state. Lighting in the evening is decent, and there’s a casual vibe to the place, but if you’re someone who expects a neat and hygienic environment, it may not meet your expectations fully. Food Quality:. The highlight of any dhaba is, of course, the food. At Inder D Dhaba, the food was a mixed bag. The dal makhani and butter naan were excellent – creamy, flavorful, and served piping hot. The paneer tikka was also marinated well and grilled to perfection. But then, other things such as the chole bhature and the veg biryani came out substandard. The chole had no spice and depth of flavor, and the biryani had no biryani flavor but was more like a mixed rice. Service:. Service was subpar – not bad, but not particularly attentive. The staff is courteous but seemed overworked despite the restaurant not being too packed. It took a very long time for our food to come out, and follow-up orders such as additional napkins or chutney were slow to arrive. The servers seemed untrained, which spoilt the overall experience slightly. Pricing:. One positive aspect of Inder D Dhaba is that it is affordable. The cost is affordable, and the portion sizes are large. This can be a viable dining option for students or budget-conscious families. They also have thalis and combo meals which are budget-friendly and satisfying. Cleanliness & Hygiene:. This is where the dhaba loses serious points. The washroom area was poorly maintained, and the hand-wash station also failed in terms of hygiene. The cutlery used for serving was old and needed replacement. While we did not have any food problem, more emphasis on cleanliness would certainly improve the reputation of the dhaba. Parking & Accessibility:. There is parking but limited, particularly during rush hours. The place is accessible and popular among the locals, which is a good point. Final Verdict:. Inder D Dhaba can be a comfort food favorite destination, particularly for the likes of dal makhani and paneer dishes. To fully win over more patrons, however, the management should look into the issues of hygiene, speed of service, and consistency in food quality. If you happen to be around and in the mood for plain desi food without expecting too much on the lines of cleanliness or good service, then Inder D Dhaba is worth a relaxing visit.
