Hotel Spicy Tadka offers a decent budget-friendly stay, especially for groups or friends. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the price of ₹1000 per night for 5 people is quite reasonable. Hot water is available in the early morning, which is a plus. Overall, it's a good option for a short, affordable stay. However, when it comes to food, there's room for improvement. We had dinner there and tried the fish thalis (kolambi, pamplet, surmai) at ₹400 per plate. While the taste was good, the portion size and price didn't seem justified. For breakfast, we had misal, uttappa, and idlis. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. The misal and uttappa were below expectations, and the idlis were not fresh. The sambar tasted more like dal, and the coconut chutney was not up to the mark. In conclusion, if you're looking for a budget stay with friends, Hotel Spicy Tadka is a good option. But for food, it’s worth exploring other places nearby.
