Hotel Spices in Murud, Maharashtra, left much to be desired in our dining experience. While the restaurant boasts a beachfront view that could have been its saving grace, the negatives overshadowed the positives. They serve halal food, a plus for some, but it doesn't compensate for the shortcomings. The ambiance, described as "equal to a beach shack," came across as shabby and poorly maintained. Despite a promising menu, the prices were shockingly high for a place in Murud, rivaling those of fine dining restaurants in Mumbai. The exorbitant prices created a significant disappointment. Though the food received some praise, particularly the Chicken Tandoori and Pomfret Fry, the taste couldn't justify the cost. The Pomfret Masala Gravy paired well with the bread and rice, but it hardly redeemed the overall experience. In fairness, they do provide separate seating arrangements for families upon request, but even this doesn't make up for the glaring issue, the very bad state of the washrooms. They were not only unusable but in a morally bad condition reflecting the bad hygiene standards, reflecting poorly on the establishment. All in all, Hotel Spices in Murud disappoints with its high prices, not interesting ambiance, and the state of its facilities, leaving much room for improvement.
