Deeply Disappointed I had the unfortunate experience of having lunch at Shirose, where I ordered their North Indian Thali, and I must say it was a complete disaster. This review comes from a place of genuine disappointment, and I feel compelled to warn others. To begin with, the quality and variety of food were shockingly poor. A North Indian thali should represent the rich and flavorful cuisine of the region—but what we received was bland, poorly prepared, and felt like a scam disguised as a meal. Here’s what was served: Two types of rice – unnecessarily repetitive and lacking any distinct flavor. A tiny portion of aloo and patal sabji – watery and tasteless. Paneer dish – I couldn’t even figure out what it was supposed to be. The taste was awful. Dal – completely diluted, no visible lentils, just colored water. Gajar ka halwa – tasted like it was made from sugar syrup and not much else. For a thali priced at ₹220, this was outright daylight robbery. The food was not just below average—it was pathetic. I honestly felt cheated and angry at how they’re misrepresenting North Indian cuisine like this. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If there were a way to report food establishments for poor standards and deceptive practices, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Final verdict: 0/5. Avoid at all costs. Total disaster! I don't write bad reviews, but this one deserves it. My brother picked this restaurant based on Google reviews, etc, but my my, the food was ultra bland, and it was probably old. I ordered chicken muglai because it is one of my all-time favorite dishes. They served me something I wouldn't call as dish, the chicken was old, boiled separately probably long ago and then the gravy was (I don't know what they attempted) mixed together, didn't even make an effort to cook them together, no flavor went in the chicken at all. I told the staff that this doesn't seem right, they just stood in silence (I even heard them internally talk to each other that probably the chef used old stock). Generally, I would have just walked away, but I was in a family dinner, so I just ate it somehow. Big mistake, every single person in the family has stomach issues now. This is unacceptable. If you are running a reputable restaurant, the bare minimum is that the food should be of a certain standard. If the Shirose administration ever comes across this review, please fix it Not recommended. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,600–1,800 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
