While returning from Kollam to Chennai, we were searching on Google Maps for a pure veg restaurant in Theni and came across Raj Bhavan because of its good reviews. We reached around 9:30 PM, and the owner personally welcomed us as soon as we got out of the car. Only idly, pongal, and poori were available at that time. We ordered idly, which was served with spicy tomato chutney, coconut chutney, and sambar. Both the chutneys were excellent in taste, while the sambar was just okay. When we asked for more coconut chutney, they prepared it fresh and served it to us immediately. No restaurant, even in Chennai, would usually make fresh chutney if it runs out—this gesture truly impressed us. Because of their warm service and the owner’s kindness, we felt very happy. Good food served by genuinely lovely people. Highly recommended! Price per person: ₹1–200 Food: 5
