For appetizers: Ordered crab meat that was tossed in chillies, garlic, spring onions and some fat like butter I guess. This crab dish was good. Then came the bombil fry that wasn't upto the mark. The fish wasn't that fresh and big and the floury batter was thick and raw inside in some areas. Then came the prawns ghee roast that looked orange in colour and wasn't roasted at all. You know a good ghee roast must have that intense red roasted colour. Another disappointment was the fish Gassi. I had to send it back because the fish wasn't seasoned with salt before adding to the curry and plus the gravy was a basic otm masala with a very weak coconut flavour. I didn't taste the authentic Gassi masala?. The Neer Dosa was good. I am happy that they did get a few things right. But after spending close to 3k for that meal it wasn't worth it. Recently visited Harish Lunch Home for a non-veg dinner, and I have to say, my experience was quite mixed. While the restaurant does have a parking facility and offers both bar and family seating sections, the food and service left much to be desired. This place is known for its seafood and bar setup, so I had some expectations going in. We ordered a variety of dishes: • Manchow Soup • Chicken Ghee Roast • Butter Garlic Prawns • Bombil Fry • Chicken Crispy • Egg Fried Rice Out of everything, only the soup was passable. The chicken ghee roast was underwhelming—the masala wasn’t cooked properly. Butter garlic prawns lacked flavor and freshness, and the bombil fry didn’t meet the usual seafood standard either. The chicken crispy was the biggest disappointment. It was hard and chewy, nowhere near the crispy texture we expected—it honestly ruined the mood of the meal. For the main course, we ordered egg fried rice, but the waiter failed to guide us properly with portion sizes, especially considering we were a big family. This led to a shortage and overall dining discomfort. In short, service was poor, food was mostly below average, and portion sizes were not family-friendly. I would not recommend this place for a proper family dinner. If you’re looking for quality food and attentive service, I suggest you explore other options.
