“I tried HFC Bolpur recently and honestly, it’s one of the best budget-friendly places for crispy chicken in town. The chicken popcorn and Grilled chicken wrap Overall, the taste is a mix of soft, crispy, tangy, and smoky flavors — perfect if you want something tasty yet light. Definately worth trying. Portions were generous for the price, which makes it great value. Staff were polite and the service was quick. If you love fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a try. Would recommend their special buckets for sharing with friends. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Service: Dine in Price per person: ₹200–400

Bolpur HFC was, regrettably, my first—and likely last—visit. The shop is small and non–air-conditioned, and the table was visibly unclean, suggesting lax housekeeping. We ordered a bucket of fried chicken and after a considerable wait, several items arrived cold. The chicken had a woody, fibrous texture and was notably insipid. Although the meal was for my friend and me, we were handed only a paper bucket; when we requested two paper plates, the attendant responded brusquely, “We already gave you the bucket; we don’t provide paper plates.” Those anticipating any resemblance to KFC may be disappointed. In my experience, HFC felt like an inferior facsimile— lacking in ambience, food quality, and hygiene. Overall. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: ₹200–400
