Tucked away between IC Colony and Shubhjivan, there is a small non-AC area on the ground floor and a narrow but comfortable place on the first floor. The menu is extensive but we chose the Thalis. They come with a choice of rice bakri, vade or chapatis. There is a really yummy sukka version of the seafood/ meat you choose, a gravy version and a lavish bowl of extra gravy. There is also solkadi and javla chutney in the seafood thali or egg bhurjee in the Mutton thali. Total value for money and delicious. Visited Malvani Pahunchar a few days back on Sunday. It was 2.30 pm when we reached the location, only to find No parking board outside. But no worries, parking was available for those visiting the restaurent. As it was Sunday there was waiting and we waited for around 30 mins before we were directed to AC seating on the first floor. No lift so plz keep in mind when visiting with elderly folks. We ordered Kairi mojito (Rs.150) which didn't have the slightest taste of kairi. It tasted like mint nimbu paani. Moving on we ordered 1 Ravas thali and 1 Surmai thali. We received ordered again after a long wait. The upside the fish was fresh. The quantity of thali was good but the taste was average. The fish was well cooked, i guess they should have marinated it longer for the flavors to shine. The gulab jamun was too hot as it had been microwaved for too long. Overall thali was good, but can be better. Mojito and gulab jamun can be skipped. Service staff was polite and ambience was simple but nice.
