I recently visited Gowdru Mess in Kuvempunagar and had a great experience overall. The naati-style food was delicious—especially the chicken palav rich in flavor and cooked perfectly. The spice level was just right, and the meat was tender and fresh. The place is usually busy, especially during lunch hours, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Seating is basic but comfortable, and the service was fast and courteous. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food. Only minor issue was that the biryani rice could have been a bit more flavorful, but everything else made up for it. A must-visit for non-veg lovers looking for authentic Karnataka-style meals in Mysore. Third class service. Refused to serve me since i was the first customer at (as late as)8 30 am and they wouldn’t serve half portions from menu as bhoni(first sale). Most third class people I have seen in service. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
