One of the best Asian restaurants in the city. It offers a wide range of foods & beverages. A slightly costlier side but the ambience, food quality & taste is worth every penny. This place is very communication friendly. I found no issue regarding public transportation as it is situated on the Rajarhat Main Road, few minutes from Chinar Park crossing. Their staff is well mannered. Sometimes they are so helpful, if you're ever confused by the name of the food you're supposed to order. We went for lunch & we had to wait approx 20-25 mins for food to deliver in our table. Seats were 70% full at the time of visit. But there was no waiting queue to get inside. A group of 10-12 people can get their table in a while. For payment both cash & card options are available. Rather than food there is a pool board & stick to play & a small book shelf with a chair in the corner for all. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

In the Newtown area, decent orient cuisine options were limited to Momo I am, Shinryu, and The Orient in City Center 2. I have been to all three. Momo I Am in Chinar Park used to be my favorite pick and destinations but something happened during the pandemic and the taste and quality both has gone drastically down.

Friends of Pho is a much welcome addition.

We went there for a late lunch and ordered Tom Kha Kai Soup, Roasted Chili Pork, Thai-style Garlic Pepper Prawn, and Mixed Thai Green Curry with steamed Rice.

Tom Kha Kai - Lovely coconut milk based soup with lot of lemon hints coming from the lemongrass and lime leaves.

Roasted Chili Pork - Nicely roasted pork. Thinly sliced with no fat whatsoever. Not too spicy. So the kids can enjoy as well.

Thai-style Garlic Pepper Prawn - Butterflied tiger prawns dipped batter and crispy fried. Served in a bed of bell peppers and garlic. Beautifully done.

Thai Green Curry - Lovely as well. Taste-wise very similar to Tom Kha soup but greener.

Ended the meal with Jasmine Tea. Served in pot with Typhoo tea bag.

Two points -

1. I had a chat with the chef. Although he told me that ingredients for the Thai Green Curry or Red Curry were imported from Thailand but he was not able to tell me clearly on the ingredients except Galangal and Lemongrass. So, I do believe that they are using market bought curry pastes but the taste is good nonetheless.

2. The Jasmine Tea pot (3 cups of tea) is priced at Rs. 175. Even for a fine dining restaurant and for a tea prepared with tea bag, this feels overkill.

Recommended. I will go back again.
