I had a very disappointing experience with Domino’s. I placed an order at 6:52 PM on 9th February 2025 from the Domino’s outlet in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam. After 28 minutes, I received a call from the store informing me that they couldn’t deliver my order because the food might get cold. This was surprising since my location is just 3.1km away. They said they would cancel the order, and since I had paid online, they assured me that the refund would be processed shortly.However, 10 minutes later, I received another call saying the food was out for delivery. Shortly after, the delivery person called and claimed that delivery service wasn’t available at my address. This was confusing because I’ve been ordering from Swiggy and Zomato for years without any issues, and I always receive my orders at my doorstep. The delivery person asked me to collect the order from a location 1 km away from my house, which wasn’t possible as I was alone and couldn’t go that far.Eventually, the delivery person said they couldn’t deliver the order and would cancel it, with the refund to be processed shortly. After an hour, I finally received my refund. This whole experience was frustrating—I was hungry, had spent the last of my money on this order, and my time was completely wasted. If Domino’s cannot fulfill an order, they should inform customers in advance instead of causing such inconvenience. I’m extremely disappointed with their poor management. I frequently order takeout, but I’ve never faced such an issue before. I hope this matter is taken seriously to prevent similar experiences for others.
