Rooms: Rooms has beautiful view of the valley Nearby activities: Take a walk to Landour, visit Char Dukan, the church’s. Dine in Landour bake house and take a walk up the hill road to Lal Tibba and soak in the beautiful sunset. Walkability: Char dukan, Landour bake house, St. Paul church, Kellogg Memorial Church and Lal Tibba is at a walkable distance Food and drinks: Food tastes good. Noteworthy details: The place is very colourful. The best part is it’s just beside Ruskin Bonds house and it overviews the valley. I visited Doma's cafe today for the third time in the past one year. The four of us went for lunch. It was a 25min wait but since my earlier experiences were good, we waited. I met a couple on my way to Doma's and they strongly advised us against eating there saying the food quality is bad but I dismissed their feedback. This is what my experience was like this time. I am a vegetarian and despite clearly mentioning it, I was served the chicken soup. After taking 3 spoons I realised it is non veg and then it was replaced. We ordered 4 simple dishes. 2 Datshi, 1 chicken fried rice and 1 pork dish. We got our first order after 45min. Only the Datshi arrived. So my kids waited while we are. After 20 min the pork dish arrived. So one kid now ate while the other waited for his food and we sar there looking at him. After repeated reminders the fried rice finally came after 1.5 hrs post ordering. The entire food was ordered promptly after sitting down!! Quality of food: the Datshi were terrible. Bland and watery with no flavour whatsoever. The pork was mostly fat!! The fried rice were below average. But I realised that the only thing more pathetic than the service and food quality was the owner! When I gave my feedback politely to the lady who is the owner, she never once said sorry for serving chicken to a vegetarian or the delay! She kept saying "uh huh". But promptly intercepted me at the door, loudly saying "nobody has ever complained to me about the quality of food"...I told her that I have had the same dish here before and the taste and quality have gone down to which she had the audacity to say "but I saw all the plates were clean!!!" The moment I heard this remark, I knew saying anything to this sad little pathetic person is useless and bid my goodbye to the place. The truth is I left food and so did my sons despite having been raised to never leave food in the plate! Instead of taking the feedback and improving on her quality of service and food, she chose to badger and insult me for complaining about the food quality! The quality of the place has gone down significantly and after speaking to the owner lady, I am crystal clear why!! I am never going back to this place and highly advise you to steer clear of this place too where the owner snaps at people who give her honestly feedback! Horrible experience. Service: 1
