After a lot of waiting, finally I got a chance to try the food at Dindigul Thalappakatti restaurant during my visit to Pondycherry. But that excitement didn’t last longer. Once we entered the restaurant, we got a table and none of the staff came to take the order until we called them. We ordered chilli fish, another chicken starter along with their famous mutton biryani. Chilli fish was ok but the chicken starter was not at all good. I’m highly disappointed with their mutton biryani. People call it one of the best mutton biryani, but it was not at all good. The mutton pieces were full of bones and no meat at all, and the rice was also not having much of flavor. The quantity of the biryani they are providing is not sufficient for one person and is not justifying the price that they are charging. The waiters are not at all responsive, all of them were standing in a corner and talking among themselves rather than focusing on the customers. When we ordered for finger bowls, one of them said the hot water machine is not working and another waiter brought the bowls with hot water. They are confused as hell. You may visit this place for one time experience, but I’m sure nobody wants to visit this place for second time. Earlier I had good opinion on this restaurant. But yesterday we had Mutton biryani at Pondicherry Kamaraj salai branch.One of the worst experience ever .Quality of Mutton and preparation is really miserable one. For sure food safety personnel should examine these type of restaurants and take stringent action
