The restaurant follows a desi theme, which adds a certain quirky charm. However, the overall ambience is just average. The lighting feels a bit too dim, making the space seem dull rather than cozy. It's an "okay okay" vibe — not unpleasant, but nothing particularly impressive either. The food overall is quite average. Some items are passable, while others are a complete miss. The starters are nothing extraordinary but manageable. Among the few decent picks, you can try the Dahi Kebab and Malai Paneer Tikka. These stood out slightly and were flavorful enough to enjoy. The noodles were also just okay — not great, not terrible. A big disappointment was the Kadhai Paneer. It completely lacked flavor and spice. Honestly, you’d be better off making it at home — it’d turn out tastier and far more satisfying. Would not recommend ordering it here. Unfortunately, the mocktails didn’t live up to expectations either. They lacked balance in taste and freshness. Definitely not worth the price. Service is a major issue here. There was only one staff member — a single girl — managing everything from taking orders to serving and handling payments. Naturally, this led to long wait times, and the service felt very slow and overwhelmed. While she seemed to be trying her best, the restaurant clearly needs more staff to provide a decent customer experience. Desi Dakaar has potential with its desi theme, but it falls short in several key areas — especially food quality, service, and ambience. It’s a one-time visit kind of place, unless improvements are made. If you're nearby and just want to try something different, maybe stop by for a quick starter.
