Been visiting since a long time now, and never had a single disappointing visit. The latest family outing saw us order the following: - 1. Tomato Basil Soup (3/5) - Nothing special as such. The taste was decent, but the basil was very less. Have had better here. 2. Cheese Tandoori Stuffed Mushroom (5/5!) [photo attached] - This was just AMAZING! Both the quality and the quantity were great. The mushrooms were very fresh, and the taste was excellent overall. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 3. Veg Aalishan (4.5/5) [photo attached] - A very good veg main course dish. It was delicious by all means, the quantity was enough for 3 people, and the overall quality was very good too. Certainly RECOMMEND. 4. Indian Breads [Roti/Butter Roti] (4/5) - Nothing to complain about. Overall very good in general. 5. Daal Khichadi (4.5/5) - Very good altogether. Would totally RECOMMEND. We also usually get the vanilla chocolate brownie for dessert, but it wasn't available this time around. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that too. The service was very good, and the ambience/vibes are great. Overall, I would very, very HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you try out Desert Moon for sure. A Cozy Rainy Evening at Desert Moon, Airoli – A Memorable Dinner Experience On a rainy Saturday evening, we had the pleasure of dining at "Desert Moon Restaurant" in Airoli, Navi Mumbai, accompanied by a senior colleague. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant was a perfect retreat from the weather outside. The soft lighting and warm interiors provided a comforting environment to sit back, relax, and enjoy our meal while listening to the soothing sound of rain tapping against the windows. We began our dinner with some crisp papad which arrived fresh and perfectly roasted, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we ordered tandoori roti, jeera rice, dal tadka, paneer curry, and a delightful preparation called Mix Mumtaz Vegetable. The tandoori rotis were soft yet had a slight char, just the way they should be. The jeera rice was aromatic and perfectly cooked, making an excellent combination with the flavourful dal tadka, which was homely, comforting, and seasoned just right. The paneer dish was soft and well-marinated, with a rich gravy that balanced spices well without overpowering the dish. The surprise star was the Mix Mumtaz Vegetable", a house specialty, which was a medley of fresh vegetables in a creamy, mildly spiced gravy that complemented the entire spread beautifully. The service was courteous and prompt, with the staff making sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Our senior colleague particularly appreciated the polite and attentive service, which made the dinner even more pleasant. Overall, Desert Moon offered us a simple yet satisfying dining experience, ideal for relaxed conversations and comfort food. It’s a great choice for those looking for a quiet evening with classic North Indian dishes, especially when paired with the charm of a rainy night. Definitely a place worth visiting again.
