I have been visiting Delhi Kitchen intermittently for the last 5-6 years ever since I discovered their Butter Chicken and Biryani. Their food was intrinsically Delhi and reminded me of the time I lived there. However, over the last two years something seems to have changed. The food is not bad, but definitely not up to the standard I had fallen in love with. The recipes have changed and there is too much spice. The last time I ordered Biryani, it was as spicy as Maharashtrian biryani. The butter chicken was unnecessarily spicy. They seem to have been pushing their Chinese food a lot. it's nice but I really don't care about it because there are many places offering great Chinese. Not many places in Pune had authentic Delhi food. Delhi Kitchen had that. It's not a place I'll be visiting any time soon now and I am terribly sad about losing it.
