Awesome food. Authentic North indian food, reminded me of my hometown. The place to be! Can beat sowcarpet, just a bit heavily priced vada-pav for 40 is a bit too much.

Great place if you miss the street food back home. Vada pav,dabeli, poha,misal pav and more. The only reason I take away half a rating,is because of the price. I am not used to paying that much for a dabeli or misal pav. But we are in Chennai, and we don't have the street food like the North here.

Rave reviews and Proximity to home were contributing factors for selecting to dine at Great Deal. Located exactly opposite the velachery lake and just above the subway outlet, this lil place deserves a look-in.

Minimalistic ambience, Buddha quotes, comfortable chairs. We got seated and they started their long array of dishes in order to impress us.

- The much recommemded Mumbai Vada Pav: Crunchy, soft, yielding bundle of goodness, swathed in great green chilli sauce and a soft bun. Yayy.

- The Veg tikka wrap - definition of VFM. Great long piece of roll, entirely stuffed and deliciously presented. Definitely give it a try.

- The olives and jalapeños pasta in red sauce - Can't win them all baby doll. It was a recommended-by-staff dish. Sorry, I don't share their feelings. Could have been better seasoned, more flavourful.

Overall, the place lives up to its name, and to our expectations. Will definitely be back for more :)
