Classic Veg. Restaurant Review

“There is no love sincerer than the love of food.” ― George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman

This is indeed true for all of us who love to eat delicious food whether it’s cooked at home or from your favourite restaurant. We all have our personal choices in terms of what kind of food we would like to have and where. Today I am going to share my experience of one such restaurant in Mumbai which I had visited recently. This restaurant is in the vicinity of Matunga and King’s Circle and it has been there since the last 3 decades, however its popularity has never dropped since the last 33 years. There are two iconic institutions, one being Guru Nanak Khalsa College and the other is Don Bosco School around it.

Pav Bhaji :

When I was about to enter the place it seemed like just another restaurant. It was 9 pm and when I looked around there were many people eating Pav Bhaji and Masala Pav on their tables. I knew that Pav Bhaji was their signature dish since so many decades so I was curious to taste it. I went near the kitchen to get a glimpse of their cook making it and that itself made me feel hungry. The dollop of butter floating in the brown bhaji along with the butter fried pav and the freshly cut onion pieces, lemon slices was something which I immediately savoured and the taste itself made me realize that this was definitely one of the best pav bhaji I have ever had.

Masala Pav :

I also decided to try out the masala pav which also looked tempting and was earthy brown in colour. After sprinkling lemon on the masala pav it was something one can truly relish.

Pani Puri, Dahi Potato Puri, Bhel Puri, Chinese Bhel :

I tasted all of these and the Pani Puri and Dahi Potato Puri have become my personal favourite. The crispy puris with the tangy taste and its freshness make it melt in our mouth. Truly Mouthwatering indeed!

Pizza :

Veg Cheeze Pizza was truly amazing as it tastes so yummy and the cheese melting in your mouth with a taste which lingers makes it one of my favourites again.

Club Sandwich :

My recommendation is for the Grilled Cheese Club Sandwich which is delectable and the lemonade along with it adds the zing and it’s quite filling.
