Had an excellent experience here, we came to celebrate my father's birthday. The methi kebabs and the sabudana aloo tikki were amazing and so so soft!!!! We loved the ambience by the pool. Muskan here has given nothing but excellent service. Thank you so much! Please visit Chingari with your friends and family. Definitely an experience worth every penny

As you walk into Chingari , the rooftop restaurant at Sheraton, Pune, you are blown away by the cozy ambience, the dimly lit tables, lilting music and a faint breeze that blows over the swimming pool. It’s the perfect spot for a first date, a special occasion or if you want to make up to your loved one! A beautiful lamp shade illuminates the many tables that are scattered around the pool and the bar. The menu is expansive with dishes classified based on the method of preparation. For instance, the 1st generation ‘Rivayaat’ focus on food items made on sigree while the 2nd generation or Virasat employs the tandoor technique. The 3rd generation is based on modern gastronomy using sous vide and foams. I got to experiment dishes from all three generations, the first one being Gilawat-e-Chingari, a minced lamb patty placed on a crispy roti, that was a melt in the mouth from the 1st generation. Next up was the ‘Bhattiyar ke Jhinge’, tiger prawns marinated in ginger garlic flavoured hung curd, a 2nd generation masterpiece prepared in a tandoor. The masala was a little overpowering but the prawns were extremely fresh. Last I tried the macchi tikka that was served with foam and amuse bouche, showcasing modern gastronomy. In between meals, we sipped on a rose pinacolada garnished with rose petals, a perfect cooler that gave us respite from the summer heat! For the mains, I tried Nalli Nihari, a mutton stew that was a perfect melt-in-the-mouth. The flavours were much muted as against the ones I have tried before but the chef explained that because its a breakfast staple, it is made with minimum masalas. Stuffed to the core, we dived in straight for the desserts. Gulab jamun, kesar phirni and kulfi falooda added the much needed sweetness to the evening. The portions are huge so its advisable to order smaller quantities. We left home with our tummy and heart full. If you are looking for a romantic spot that guarantees you great food, look no further and dine under the stars at Chingari!

My experience was completely ruined by Mr Shamsher the restaurant manager amd other staff too responsible. He is very rude and doesn’t respect in house guests. Restaurant service changes customer to customer, you might feel offended after paying paid almost 25 k for 2 days stay at Shereton Grand and it was great mistake to choose this hotel on you special movements. I would not recommend this restaurant instead of that you can enjoy your prestigious movement in other restaurants in Pune. & Very important is do not go on glossy photo angles posted at various sites, Service Matters.
