This weekend when I visited Chingari, it was pouring heavily. They have a lovely outdoor poolside area but due to the weather we settled indoors. It was cozy, with ambient lighting and a breezy atmosphere overlooking the cityscape.Their menu is interestingly categorized into three generations, centred around absolutely authentic Awadhi and Mughal cuisine. The first thing I wanted to try desperately were the Gilawati gosht kebabs. Like it says so in every other review - melt in the mouth, amazing flavours, buttery soft. Each kebab has a crispy and flaky paratha base which gives you a nice contrast in texture. Actually, the Kakori kebabs were equally superb in their preparation. Although in appearance they were like seekh, they were also finely minced but a completely different flavour profile from the galouti. A must try for sure!In the drinks, I tried a few different specialty cocktails, but one of my top two was their Kesar Whiskey Sour. It was topped off with a kesar foam (I chose to have the egg white) which was so lovely and aromatic. The overall balance of the drink was perfect too. We also tried a tandoori fish appetizer which included rawas, basa and tiger prawns. The prawns were easily the winner here, beautifully charred and still juicy inside. For the mains, I had to go for the Nalli Gosht which was a nice thick gravy with literally 5 to 6 huge shanks, good enough for a family of 4 to share with some roomali roti. They also had some hatke options in the breads, like onion and cheddar stuffed kulcha but here I just couldn't miss my chance for a good roomali. At this point we totally intended to skip dessert but after a bit of loving encouragement from the captain we decided to go for it after all! Ended the evening on a lovely note with the rasmalai. All in all, great service and some absolutely exceptional food.

My experience was completely ruined by Mr Shamsher the restaurant manager amd other staff too responsible. He is very rude and doesn’t respect in house guests. Restaurant service changes customer to customer, you might feel offended after paying paid almost 25 k for 2 days stay at Shereton Grand and it was great mistake to choose this hotel on you special movements. I would not recommend this restaurant instead of that you can enjoy your prestigious movement in other restaurants in Pune. & Very important is do not go on glossy photo angles posted at various sites, Service Matters.
