Chai Sutta Bar at SBP Homes, Kharar, attempts to bring the brand’s popular tea culture to the local crowd, but unfortunately, this particular outlet falls short in several areas. On a recent visit, I tried the Green Mint Tea and Rose Tea—both were quite underwhelming. The flavors lacked depth and freshness, and didn’t live up to the expectations set by the brand's reputation. For the price charged, the quality simply didn’t match up. Another major concern was cleanliness. The utensils, including the serving cups and plates, didn’t appear properly cleaned. In the morning hours, the seating area and tables were not tidy, which negatively impacts the overall experience. Cleanliness is a basic requirement, especially at a place serving food and beverages, and it seems to be neglected here. While the concept of serving tea in kulhads is appealing, the lack of hygiene and the average taste makes this outlet less enjoyable. The staff is polite, but service alone can't make up for poor quality. Unless improvements are made in taste and cleanliness, this outlet may struggle to retain repeat customers.
