Located at the Asansol Railway Compound,country's first restaurant on wheels with rich heritage ,i.e., the railway engine of narrow gauge line , "Tilottama" with two renovated & beautifully decorated air conditioned coaches , offers various flavours of tea & delicious veg dishes, very attractive at night with lighting.... Approx 50 people is the capacity one time.... Staffs are courteous.... Tea leaves with different range of price & varieties available.... Firstly this type of initiatives are trending nowadays and it's worth the experience.. Concept of changing the old coaches into restaurants are good, talking about this particularly, Chai Chun Veg Restaurant. It's just outside the Asansol Railway Stations, once you exit out of the station via the foot over bridge or the west gate (platform no. 2) on the left only, beside the rail building you will find the entry of the restaurant. There are two such restaurants, 1. Wow Bhojan 2. Chai Chun Chaichun is basically a tea restaurant with some veg dishes, once you enter the coach, you will feel the difference in compare to any other restaurants. It's themed on the tea green and pinkish tone, seating arrangements are of 2x2 and 1x1 . Ambience is pretty decent, you will get that cozy vibes in it with minimalistic designs and interior. The menu is brief and compact with limited items you will get veg only. With the items the price is little-bit high than it should be, but it's considerable. Taste is normal, nothing extraordinary, but will be served fresh and hot. Overall for those who are taking trains from asansol, for a quick bite with friends and family, this can be considered.
