We visited this place in the afternoon, planning to grab a quick bite on our way home. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. First, multiple menu items were not available. The staff mentioned that the crowd usually comes in the evening and informed us that only sandwiches, tea, and sweet lime soda could be served at that time. We placed an order for the available items and waited. Even after 45 minutes and multiple follow-ups, we were served only two cups of tea. Nothing else arrived. Frustrated, we clearly told them that if our order wasn’t ready within the next five minutes, we would leave. Unsurprisingly, no food was prepared even after that. It felt like the restaurant did not have the ingredients or the intention to prepare the order, yet this was never communicated upfront. If they operate mainly in the evening or cannot serve food in the afternoon, they should clearly state this instead of making customers wait endlessly. This behavior is beyond acceptable. A restaurant is judged not just by food, but by hospitality, transparency, and respect for customers’ time—whether they are able to serve or not. This was one of several disappointing experiences at places that surprisingly have 4+ Google ratings. Based on my experience, such reviews do not seem trustworthy. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

A really unique and cozy café experience! Cahā pāani is beautifully set inside a shipping container with AC and a warm, relaxed vibe. Inside, there’s comfortable seating along with books and board games like Jenga and Ludo, which makes it a great place to unwind and spend time. The outdoor setup is equally charming — benches, chairs, stools, and café tables crafted out of real carved tree trunks give it a very earthy and aesthetic feel. There’s also seating on top of the container, which adds to the overall experience and makes the place stand out. Coming to the food — absolutely loved it. The garlic bread, tomato basil spaghetti, and croissant veg cheese sandwich were all delicious and well-prepared. For drinks, the hot chocolate was brilliant and easily the highlight, though the Biscoff iced mocha didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Overall, a lovely café with great ambience, creative design, and tasty food. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something different and relaxing.
