It’s a small cafe, tucked away on a not very busy street, so unless you know it exists and go specifically to find it you’re not likely to simply walk in. There have a few chairs and tables outside as well as some seating inside. For such a small place the seating is adequate. It can get pretty hot outside though and in the day you will have to battle with flies for your food. I ordered prawn balchao poi sandwich and a French Press coffee. The coffee was surprisingly good. Surprising only cause I wasn’t expecting it to be so fresh with and flavour full. The sandwich was somewhere between decent and meh. My biggest issue was the lack of prawns. I get that the balchao is more or less a pickle but in a sandwich I was missing something to bite into. The poi also felt a bit over done in the grill. Perhaps the balchao wasn’t the best choice in a sandwich. Will positively try something else the next time. As several other reviewers have noted, the host was warm and attentive. We chatted a bit post my meal and that kind of experience always makes a place stand out. It’s a bit on the expensive side but giving rising costs of ingredients I suppose that is par for the course. I’m happy to revisit and try other items. My only concern remains the flies in the outdoor section, but I suppose there’s not much one can do about it.
