#gluttonyreviews Holiday Inn Agra #holidayinn #HolidayInnAgraStayed here for three nights – 10th Sept to 13th Sept, 2024. Room No 504..Easily one of the best stays in the city.504 is a premium category room, large-sized. Overlooking the cityscape and the cobalt-blue swimming pool. Ushering in plentiful sunlight smile. Pristine white sheets on the twin beds. Colourful vibrancy. The aqua area had a (thankfully) well-enclosed bathroom to avoid water flowing outside. Unlimited drinking water bottles. The AC and the WiFi working perfectly. Ample charging plug points.The breakfast buffet here is to die for here. Onion pakoras. Paneer Parathas. Aloo bondas (or Batata wadas as we call them). Chicken stew. Fried fish. Gulab jamun. Moong dal halwa. Cold coffee, cold milk. A variety of juices. Cut fruits. Cashews-almonds, raisins, pumpkin seeds. Flavored yoghurt. Muesli, cornflakes, and wheat flakes. Apple Compote, Papaya Compote, Pineapple Compote. A host of bakery items – including fruit cake, vanilla muffins, and banana bread. Live Dosa counter and egg counter.The dinner buffet was equally lavish, including the long-shaped pani-puris. And the farmaish dish churned out especially for me by the sous chef, Gaurav Raghav – the Rara Gosht was so awesome, I don’t recall having a similar one anywhere else earlier. So well-cooked that it had the meat simply melting off the bone and the flesh inside the shank sliding off with ease. Soft, succulent, and retaining the flavour completely.Gaurav has been here for the last three months, having worked with entities like Eros Delhi and Radisson Blu Greater Noida earlier. Smiling, winsome, accommodating. His speciality is Italian cuisine, and he gave me some insights on how he is stringent on the food quality and kitchen hygiene front. Equally pleasurable was my meeting with Shivraj Singh Rathore, the Director of Sales for the property. He is in charge of the complete revenues, be it the rooms, the banquet halls, or the restaurant.The overall stay for these three nights was delightful, and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else the next time I am in the city.
