It was a chilli night when we just got done with watching Drishyam 2, once we stepped out of the theatre the cozy weather made us want to spend some time at a cafe. Since it was almost 1 am most of the cafes had shut down by then, we came across this cute little place where our attention was drawn by the copper Samovar known for preparing and storing Kahwa. We have been diehard fans of Kashmir and its Kahwa ever since we visited the valley. Almost instantaneously we walked into the place and ordered for some Kahwa. Was delighted to find that it also serves food and is a full fledged outlet with various authentic Kashmiri dishes. We ordered mutton Seekh and was super happy to savour the authentic taste where spices were not overpowering the actual flavour of the dish. Added to it was the Kashmiri music being played and the behaviour of the owners, as flattering as it may sound, they were as warm and sweet as their Kahwa. It was one of the best times we have spent at an eatery in the recent times. This late night memory will remain in our hearts forever, all thanks to Chinar Tales. A must try.
