Bhojan shala

Bhojan Shala, located at 4827+R2 in Panapuzha, offers a variety of vegetarian cuisine with service options that cater to everyone's needs, including dine-in, takeaway, and both delivery and no-contact delivery. It's not prominently listed on many restaurant directories beyond a basic Google profile, which suggests limited recent communication from the owner.

Known for its relaxing and casual atmosphere, the restaurant is associated with Bhavani Sarvashala and provides good options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with small plates, vegan, and purely vegetarian options. The place receives mixed reviews about the quality of some dishes like mushroom masala and porata, but others appreciate their traditional vegetarian meals and coffee. There is ample parking in front, although there’s hardly any information about dedicated service staff or dining arrangements, except for visitor-noted huts behind the main building offering a pleasant setting.

While family-friendly with a positive environment, Bhojan Shala allows for quick bites or a more leisurely meal experience, attended by either solo diners or groups. Potential improvements are suggested in the service dynamics, which are noted as inconsistent. Nonetheless, the venue's cleanliness and free parking are appreciated, and it's easily accessible from the main road, making it a quiet retreat for those passing through or staying in Panapuzha.

We recently visited Bhojan Shala in Payyanur for a lunch gathering with a group of 15, and it was a wonderful experience. The 'farm-to-table' concept really comes through in the food—the Kerala Sadya meals served on banana leaves were authentic and delicious. The ambiance is a highlight; the traditional hut-model dining areas are airy and surrounded by greenery, which added a nice touch to our meal. The property is very spacious with ample parking, which made it easy for our large group. It’s also very family-friendly, featuring a dedicated play area for kids and an exercise zone. Highly recommended for families or groups looking for a peaceful spot with great food! Asked for a coffee but didn't provide for the reason of not having enough milk to make it, but then the next customer who placed the order after us was provided coffee which clearly shows lack of standardized customer service. When it comes to other meals it is not that tasty as it is said to be. The only good food was probably Butter Naan. Overall experience was really below what we expected it to be. Customer service was very poor. Tables were not cleaned properly, and there was a long delay in cleaning, food ordering, and serving. Basic items like tissues, spoons, forks, and sauces were not provided and had to be requested separately. The noodles section was especially disappointing; the quality was very bad. I’m not sure about the other dishes, though I heard the meals were good. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
