We visited Bait at Taj Kovalam for my birthday dinner yesterday, and it was a mixed experience. The Good: The ambience is absolutely stunning—easily one of the best spots to enjoy a meal by the coast. The setting is beautiful and made for a very pleasant evening with the family. The food was decent and met our expectations for a dinner like this. The Setback: The service and coordination were unfortunately lacking. For a restaurant of this caliber, having only one person to take orders and serve over 10 occupied tables was disappointing. There seemed to be a clear lack of coordination between departments, which led to a poorly organized experience. Verdict: We had a good time overall, but the service needs to be much better managed to match the premium environment and the Taj brand. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹2,000+
