Been going to Badshahi for years now and the taste hasn't been changed.
Went there yesterday in afternoon and it did not fail yet again. My brother was coming there for the first time and he loved it too.
Placed order for all time favourite Potato Toast even before the water was served. It was awesome as usual. Then moved to Typical Puneri Misal, with butter milk and it was yum! It's not overly spiced or hot. Very well balanced and has been consistently good! Have tried almost everything on menu now.
I like it every time I go. No need to say that I will visit that place again and again!

The best place on Tilak Rd to have Morning Breakfast!. This place is one of the oldest place on Tilak Rd. They have variety of options in breakfast with good taste like misal, thalipith, Wada Sambar etc. The must recommended place in Pune old city.

This is one of the legendary places on Tilak road. One of the oldest food joint in Pune which serves more than 10 food items just for fasting. I don't know where else you can get this kind of variety for fasting. Located in tilak smarak mandir chawk, the most difficult thing will be finding the parking for a 2 wheeler. Forget about the 4 wheeler parking, it's next to impossible to find that. There is absolutely nothing to talk about the ambiance as this place is like a very small room with few tables and quick service. Upvas kachori: The best upvas kachori in Pune without a doubt. The mixture of coconut, sugar and green chili's with the sweet and spicy curd, the best combination. This mixture is wrapped in mashed potato and then deep fried. Tastes like heaven.

Potato toast: Mash potato mixture with green chutney (combination of green chili and coriander) and deep fried. Again served with the sweet and spicy curd. Great dish to try out.

Upvas misal: This is a combination of potato chiwda, sabudana khichadi, mashed potatoes with the gravy of peanut dal. Wow, even thinking about such a dish is difficult but the combination works perfectly. Taste is absolute bang on.

Rest of the dishes like thalipeeth, misal, sabudana khichadi are good but above listed 3 dishes are must try here.
