We visited for the Bengali Food Festival and were genuinely excited, but the experience turned out to be extremely disappointing. As a Bengali, I found the food quality to be among the worst I’ve had. The chicken curry lacked flavour entirely and tasted boiled and chewy. The posto fish was similarly bland, and the pulao was just average. The only dish that stood out was the prawn malai curry, but even then, the prawns were possibly the smallest whole prawns I’ve ever seen. The chutney tasted more like a morabba than a proper Bengali chutney. What made the experience even worse was that the menu listed mutton curry—a staple and highlight of any Bengali meal—but they didn’t have it available. After raising this, they eventually brought out a serving, but it was mostly bones and ribs with barely any meat. For a 4-star property like Marriott Sheraton, this was incredibly underwhelming. I wouldn’t rate this food even 1 star. Please stop misleading customers by calling this a Bengali food festival. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

We recently had our anniversary dinner at Awadh 5 , where there is an ongoing festival of Bengali cuisine. They have both a la carte and unlimited thali options. We tried both and I must say it went beyond my expectations. The thali was sumptuous and the quantity was perfect. Prawn malaikari and mishti doi were to die for. After a long time I had such a great chicken cutlet. It's a must try for all those Bengalis who struggle to find a good place to have proper Kolkata Bengali food.

Food was overall good but service was way too slow. Sadly Very laid back service. Need lot of improvement on service part.
