Utterly Disappointing for a 5-Star Restaurant This place may have the appearance of a fine dining establishment, but it fails to quality expected at this level. We ordered a simple fish and chips and a prawn curry — both were shockingly subpar. The prawn curry lacked any real depth or balance, far from what one would expect from a supposedly "star class" kitchen. The fish in the fish and chips was equally underwhelming. But what truly ruined the experience was the appalling wait time. We waited one full hour for our food, and even our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. At no point did anyone apologize for the delay — not the kitchen, not the staff, not the chef. Not even a complimentary side, a gesture, or a word of courtesy — absolutely nothing. To make matters worse, the lady chef casually walked over after we had eaten, asked how the food was, listened to the feedback and walked off without a word of apology or concern. Completely indifferent and frankly, unprofessional. This restaurant charges five-star prices but offers two-star execution at best. Poor food, unacceptable delays, and zero accountability. The only thing that is positive is friendly waiting staff who does a good service and the ambeince which can compensate for the below par food .. .. i can only say it is better to go somewhere that respects both your time and your palate, and fort cochin has many to choose from ! Had a wonderful evening. Santwana ensured that every dish was amazing. We tried the Chicken and Coconut Soup, Grilled Tiger Prawns (with a lovely sweet potato salad), Fish wrapped in banana leaf and finished with a Coconut Raspberry Panna Cotta and an Opera for dessert. Ashwin ensured a great evening was made excellent and the venue is located with lovely views, especially for outdoor seating.

A café by the boatyard, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is fun really, one can have a good watch of the ships, boats and jetties going by, and occasionally catch an eagle soaring high in the sky. The staff are courteous and just on point. The Alleppey fish curry is a must try. Gently spiced, with just enough raw mango, it’s frikkin delicious!! I love how their dessert portions are just enough for one person with the menu mentioning the calorie count. Easily a ‘highly recommend’ from me.
