From the moment I stepped in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere made me feel like I was dining in someone's home, which is a rarity in restaurants these days. The first thing that struck me was the simplicity and charm of the restaurant. It’s cozy, unpretentious, and exudes a homely vibe, which is perfect for anyone seeking a true taste of Andhra Pradesh’s culinary traditions. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making the entire experience relaxed and enjoyable. Now, let's talk about the food! Andhra cuisine is known for its bold, spicy flavors, and Andhra Mess did not disappoint. The meal begins with an array of delicious side dishes and accompaniments, including crispy papads, fresh pickles, and an assortment of chutneys that perfectly complement the main course. The star of the meal, however, was the rice and curries. Served in a traditional Andhra style, it was an absolute treat! The *Pulihora* (tamarind rice) was tangy and flavorful, with the right amount of spice, while the *Gongura Pachadi* (sorrel chutney) was fresh and zesty, adding a beautiful depth of flavor.
