At this restaurant, you will be offered Chinese cuisine. Amantran - Kitchen & Bar is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. This place scored 4.1 in the Google rating system.
One of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had at this restaurant. I made an online reservation through Swiggy Dineout, paying a booking amount that was supposed to make me eligible for a discount offer at the time of billing. However, when it came time to pay, the restaurant staff refused to honor the Swiggy Dineout offer, stating that they had served food as per their regular menu rates and that I was “not eligible” since I hadn’t informed them about the online booking. My question is — if a customer is already making an online booking and paying for it, why should they have to personally remind the staff again? What’s the purpose of an online system if the restaurant doesn’t check bookings or inform their team about it? It’s the restaurant’s responsibility to verify reservations before serving, not the customer’s duty to chase for benefits. Food experience:. The food quality was also disappointing. I ordered Chicken Lapeta, but what was served tasted more like Butter Chicken — completely different from what I expected. The taste and presentation were below average. Staff behavior:. The staff were unresponsive and inattentive. The waiter ignored us multiple times when we tried to call him and seemed uninterested in helping. He also didn’t guide us properly about food portions, which led to confusion in ordering. Suggestions for improvement: 1. The restaurant should train staff to check online bookings and apply offers automatically. 2. There should be clear coordination between the Swiggy Dineout system and the restaurant team. 3. Improve food consistency and taste — what’s listed on the menu should match what’s served. 4. Staff should be more attentive, polite, and proactive in assisting customers. 5. A simple confirmation or welcome for online booking guests would make the experience far better. In the end, they provided a 10% discount and refunded the booking amount, which I appreciate, but overall the experience was far below expectations. I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both service and food quality.
